What the Heart RemembersI am pleased to announce that my latest story (A General Fiction genre) entitled "What the Heart Remembers"
was chosen as a finalist in a national contest (2012 Golden Acorn Excellence in Writing). On October 6, in
St. Augustine, I will be attending a workshop. The feature speaker at the workshop is the publisher who
was the judge for the finals. I have been granted a 15 minute "pitch" to her to try and get the story
published. Please keep me in your prayers or just cross your fingers that I don't pass out or in some other way
blow my chance to be published by a very good publisher.

CONDO RENTAL INFO: Karen and I are fortunate
to have been able to purchase a second home in Gulf Shores, Alabama, along the "Red Neck Riveria". Who
knows? Someday we may retire there and I could write my best seller!! Our 2 BR, 1 BA condo is located within short
walking distance of the "Hang Out" in Gulf Shores, and only a few miles from the famous "Flora Bama",
where many years ago I was priviledged to play in a band a few nights a week. We invite you to be our guest
at the condo (very reasonably priced) if you want to plan a vacation in that area. Below is the link to the
rental information.

THANK YOU!! Just a note to thank all of you who have bought my book(s) already.
Please email me at cbdenham2003@yahoo.com with your comments and/or critique; I would love your input, positive or negative. And I would encourage you also to
rate my book(s) on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, or Booksamillion online. Also,
I have had a few folks asking how they can get a copy of my first book, "My Brother's Keeper". If you would
like a copy of my first book, and can't find it used online, I have several copies available for purchase (found a box of
new books way back in my closet). If you would like to buy one for $20.00 (which includes $5 for mailing), I would
be happy to send you an autographed copy. Please email me with your mailing address and we can complete the order.
I also have copies of "Between Hearts" I would be happy to autograph and send to you, also for $20.00.
Remember, all my royalties for "Between Hearts" goes to an adoption foundation. And all money I receive
for "My Brother's Keeper" copies will go to the same cause.
Thanks!!!!
Barry

Between Hearts - a novelI am told "Between Hearts" will be available within a few days. I will go ahead and post the links,
although it will be a few days before the book shows up on them. The story is a Chinese adoption story.
To best describe the story, I am copying/pasting the back cover of my book below. Although the story is fiction,
I drew from my own experiences in adopting the two little lights of my life (Abby Hui
Hua - from Jiangxi in 1999 and Ally Yong Ping - from Guangxi
in 2002). I am such a lucky guy to have such a wonderful family (Karen, Blake, Ashley (and Anne), Wesley, Abby
and Ally). The story has a few twists and turns that will make you laugh
and also make you cry. The surprise ending will warm your heart, and provide just one possible answer
to the questions all adopting parents ask themselves. And maybe even give our little ones something to hold
onto as they grow stronger in new lives with their forever families. A great portion of the
royalties I receive from this book will be donated to Chinese adoption related foundations. My hopes are that
others will be inspired by my story and adopt a child from China (or some other country). Below
is the verbage from the back cover, as well as links to purchase ($13.95). BETWEEN HEARTS
“An invisible red thread connects those who are destined
to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." --An
ancient Chinese belief
Erik Sanders finds he may have bitten off more than he can chew when he decides to become
a single parent and adopt a little girl from China. His obstacles are many,
but his resolve is strong, and after many months of work and wait, he brings Mary Yong Hua Sanders home to Atlanta.
And then one event threatens to change his life forever and rip from him the one thing that has made his life worthwhile.
. . . .
Qing, Mei Li is hailed as the Ice Maiden for her prowess on the ice, and seems destined for greatness on China’s Olympic team.
As a seventeen-year-old, skating is her life, until a malevolent event turns her life and dreams upside down.
After her secret is revealed, she is thrown off the team and is banished from her family and town, only to have the
one thing she now lives for stolen from her. For the next several years she will have one purpose in mind:
To get her daughter back. She resolves to find her if it takes a lifetime and a trip to the other
side of the world to bring her home. . . . .
By chance, Eric, Mary and Mei Li meet for a brief moment one night at an event in Atlanta.
The red threads tangle and tug. Has Erik found his true love?
Has Mei Li found her daughter? The odds seem astronomical that either could happen.
In the end the little girl will be the only one who reveals the truth . . . . . . . Thank you. I hope you enjoy my story. C. Barry
