I am happy to announce I have the cover for my new release scheduled for January, 2015. . .
Well, let me backtrack a bit. There are actually two writers in my brain.
C. Barry Denham
- who writes sweet love stories, and then there's Cam Dawson, who is my evil twin.
spicier love stories for those of you who like a good romantic suspense and love to squirm in your seat while you're reading
Cam's new story - Course of the Heart will be released in January. The cover is
to the left.

In January of this year I got an idea for a novella (length between a novel and short story).
this work in early February (name to be decided later) and pitched it to an editor.
Long story short (no pun intended)
within a week I had an offer to publish by Soul Mate Publishing.
Now, if I can just get that contract from Pelican Book
(for my full length Christian/Inspirational romance entitled The Man Upstairs),
it would mean three
contracts within a year! I'm off and running on my second career! Keep me in your prayers.
Thanks to everyone who have
helped make that possible!

Just a note to let you know that my next story,

The Man Upstairs, was judged the WINNER
of the Single Title
Contemporary finalists in a national contest sponsored by
The Valley of the Sun
chapter of Romance Writers of America.
The contest coordinator contacted me last week
with comments from the two
judges. One judge
(an editor from Random House) has expressed interest
in publishing this work in 2015.
the meantime, I am anxiously waiting the results of my submission
of this work to Pelican Books. The day after learning
I had won the contest,
I heard from Pelican. The book has been sent to committee
and I should hear from them within
Keep me in your prayers!!

COPIED FROM AMAZON REVIEWS FOR TIME FOR RAINE
3:51 pm edt
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
awesome book. You can't put this one down. Each chapter throws you into the next with the intensity of the action and mystery
of a child showing her talents. Don't miss this read. It's the best book I've read this year and the third from this writer.
Raine will amaze you and force the reality that we are, indeed, still evolving.
review helpful to you?
I was unable to put this book down, I simply had
to read it all the day I bought it. With everything a good novel should have, mystery, romance, and a plot that keeps the
reader wondering what is going to happen next, Time for Raine is a must read.
Like all good authors, C. Barry
Denham's ability to keep the reader's interest is very evident throughout the story. Each chapter follows the previous one
flawlessly. There is nowhere the reader can stumble or lose the story's thread as the tale of this gifted child unfolds.
It is certainly the best book I've read this year, and the third of C. Barry Denham's books. I am looking forward
to his next novel.

Well, the edits for Time for Raine are done, the MS resides with the proof reader. Next it's
the galleys. Hard to believe the journey on this story is about a month away from release date. Next step will be the cover,
bio, and blurb.
As for The Man Upstairs, still waiting
for agent to decide if she will represent me. She was to do a complete read last week. Perhaps no news is good news?

Received my first edit from my editor for Time for Raine. I can't say enough about how good
my editor is. Although she has given me a ton of work and only two weeks to do it, she is spot on concerning changes/corrections
that need to be done. I foresee a few all nighters to meet this deadline.
As for my latest The Man Upstairs, I have re-written this work as an Inspirational novel. I did this at
the suggestion of a potential agent. Because I made this decision, I have had to turn down TWO offers for contracts to
publish. However, the MS is sitting at a MAJOR publisher (as a result of a referral and subsequent request). I should hear
something within a couple of months. Keep me in your prayers!!

Finally! I am pleased to announce that on Tuesday, April 30th I received as offer to publish my third novel,
Time for Raine. I finished getting input on the contract and sent in my signed contract a few minutes ago.

It's official, I'm now a Romance Writer! (who would have ever thunk it?)

Now the real work of edits, deadlines, galleys, cover design, etc.
More as we get closer to release date.

What the Heart Remembers
I am pleased to announce that my latest story (A General Fiction genre) entitled "What the Heart Remembers"
was chosen as a finalist in a national contest (2012 Golden Acorn Excellence in Writing). On October 6, in
St. Augustine, I will be attending a workshop. The feature speaker at the workshop is the publisher who
was the judge for the finals. I have been granted a 15 minute "pitch" to her to try and get the story
published. Please keep me in your prayers or just cross your fingers that I don't pass out or in some other way
blow my chance to be published by a very good publisher.
